| Shangrila ART DIRECTION, CONCEPT Shangrila Hotels and Resorts were looking to redesign their global sites while retaining their classic look and feel. We considered both art direction and utility equally when approaching this brief. The idea was to give users two experiences. The first would be the corporate site and the second would be an experiential ‘hidden’ site. Viewers would travel between these two vastly different experiences by flipping the site like a revolving door, invoking a Narnia-like mystical feel. Within the corporate site, we added in utilities such as the Inspiring Journey Planner and predictive search on all fields. The experiential hidden site leads uses on a rich exploratory journey, seeking out paradise islands and bustling cities. Viewers can record and send personalised video postcards of their travels through the site. |
